Loaded with technological innovations and designed by one of the world’s top graphical artists, the 100 dollar laptop for developping countries is turning heads. Meet Yves BĂ©har, a Swiss designer who has reached stardom in America.
Nicholas Negroponte speaks about the One Laptop per Child project (OLPC) at Internet and Society 2007, a conference at Harvard University, Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
Sophie and Philip, from Qubec, Canada, come into the OLPC offices at 1 Cambrige Centre to learn how to repair one of the XO laptops.
They showed that a task as involved as replacing the motherboard is able to be completed by young children using a just a screwdriver.
